Floyd "Money" Mayweather on the HBO Joe Buck Live Speaks Out About Pacquiao ShowDown!

On December 08,2009 HBO's sport series "Joe Buck Live" featured the Former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. to guest on the Live Show panel.

When the self pro-claimed G.O.A.T fighter was asked on a not yet signed contract fight with current pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao he stated calmly," I think he is a good fighter but I have been around the sport a long time and been dominating the sport of boxing for 15 yrs. now."

Without hesitation Floyd was quickly interrupted by fellow guest New York Giant Super Bowl Champion and FOX NFL SUNDAY co-host Michael Strahan "Translation ! The hell with Pacquiao I will whoop his ass!"

The once leisure Floyd was awaken by the crowd's reaction of Strahan break silence translation, seized his moment by coloring his past statement with a more obscure tone "The thing is I don't want the fans to be really shocked by what will happen. When we do meet up because its not going to be nothing new, he (Pacquiao) has been knockout before;he lost before."

The date of March 13,2010 cant seem to get here soon enough for us hardcore fight fans. Even though the signatures of both combatants have not yet inked their autographs to the purposed date, us enthusiastic fans formulate the fight happening with no holding over thoughts. Especially when having Mayweather himself convey the tenacity of victory over Pacquiao without fighting him in the ring just yet.

The plot thickens when actor/producer Mark Walberg, fan and friend of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, was summoned to the stage. Host Joe Buck clouded his questions with current events happening in the world wide of sports before asking Walberg's thoughts of the upcoming showdown. Then in conversation Buck heard Walberg mention he has a boxing ring at his home and Mayweather had Walberg hold hand mits while visiting. Buck ironed his allegation to Walberg,"Well then your playing both sides cause I understand your a Pacquiao guy."

Walberg's gesture was of agreement to Buck's assessment when asked by Floyd "I'm just trying to find out was he a Pacquiao guy (Walberg) fifteen years ago when the world didn't even hear about Pacquiao when I was dominating the sport of boxing?"

Now Walberg could of produced a captivating refute like "Why does that matter now Floyd he is known now in the world and he is known now as pound-for-pound king and your not" But he didn't. He lost ground and converted the inquiry in a political manner "Thats a good question I am very good friends of Manny and I have been friends with Floyd .And as much as I wanted to see this fight happen. I'm also extremely nervous but this is the most important fight for boxing, period."

Translation - "Man enough talk lets just see you two fight!"

Now while Walberg was praising both fighters skills and accomplishments, Mayweather's teeth razor through Walbergs compliments with "Well my record shows that I'm the best of what I do."

"Boxing fans want to see a good fight and you know they are both going to go out there( Mayweather and Pacquiao) and do their best and you never know its just like any other sport you don't know whats going to happen" edging his seat Michael Strahan stating the magnitude and stakes of this fight was cut off and introduced to the Ego of Mayweather.

"I know whats going to happen" the attendance laughs as Floyd's face renounced Strahan's observation of the possibility of Mayweather not winning his match with Pacquiao .

Now whether Mayweather wants to hear or not, Pacquiao does pose a threat and Strahan's point of direction about the wages of not knowing the victor of this fight was spot on. Thats what makes a "Super Fight" when two warriors in their prime step in the ring of combat drama attesting their best for glory. And the spectators gnaw on their fingernails anticipating the uncertain to be certain. Thats what films a great fight and Mayweather vs Pacquiao arrest those ingredients.
